You’ve spent months or even years planning your wedding. Then the big day came and it was the best day of your life and you’re now enjoying life with your new partner. You may think that the hard work may now be over but sorry! It’s not! There are still some things and loose ends to tie up. Below we take a look at 6 things you need to do AFTER your wedding….
Thank you notes
Sending out thank you notes to your friends and family who attended the wedding is a really nice touch and one that will be much appreciated. Yes it can be somewhat lengthy in terms of time but thank you notes really do add that sophisticated finish to your wedding and your guests will look back fondly on it because of it.
Clean your wedding dress
Whether you intend to keep your wedding dress forever, sell it online or whether you are giving it to charity, it’s worth getting your dress cleaned after your big day. Whatever you do with it, cleaning it will ensure it lasts and looks good for longer.
Sort out your wedding photo album
If you have hired a wedding photographer, now is the time to sit down with them and to choose what photos out of the thousands taken you want putting into your wedding album.
Check out your wedding gifts
You may not have had chance to check out all of your wedding gifts but you need to put some time aside to ensure that you can return or exchange any unwanted or duplicate wedding gifts. Don’t be like some people and leave it so long that you are unable to exchange or get a refund.
Take down your wedding website
If you had a wedding website, now is the time to take it down if you don’t want a permanent online reminder of your wedding. Doing so will prevent you being charged hosting fees which could be better spent elsewhere.
Review your wedding suppliers
This is something that so many people forget to do but is a really nice touch if you’ve been really impressed with the service that you have got. Wedding suppliers such as florists, wedding bands and photographers operate in some of the most competitive markets imaginable so if they’ve provided a good service, give them a good review.
If you’ve been given a poor service, should you leave a bad review? That’s a tough one to answer but if you genuinely feel that you have been treated badly and want to warn others, then as long as you are being honest and accurate then it may be a good idea.
Your wedding day may be over but once you’ve completed all these tasks, you and your partner can fully enjoy married life together.
