Sophie and Graham’s wedding was a very colourful affair. Sophie choose not to wear the traditional white wedding dress instead opting for a stunning pink gown, the whole day epitomised their life together, the table decoration was exquisite, with origami sculptures the table names were taken from their travels together, the whole day had a incredibly up tempo feel like you were attending a real festive celebration. Squire and Squire Photography took some beautiful photographs of Sophie and Graham and did a tremendous job of capturing the whole essence of the day.

“Our Story”

Where did you get engaged and how long had you been together before hand?

“We got engaged in Egypt and had been together almost 2 years beforehand, though we’ve known each other since childhood. We were then engaged almost 3 years before the big day.”

How many venues did you visit before you chose Warwick House as your wedding venue?

“We looked at about 50 online but visited about 5. Initially we’d ruled Warwick House out, because the website didn’t grab us, but when we visited (on the recommendation of a photographer at a wedding fayre) we both fell in love with it, stylish and intimate, exactly what we wanted.”

How did you feel when you first visited Warwick House, did you know straight away that you wanted to get married here?

“Yes absolutely, it was the decorations that I loved and that there were so many options for where to hold the different parts of the day. One thing I really liked was the flexibility to be inside or outside depending on the weather.”

What was your first step of wedding planning? Venue search, dress shopping, choosing a date etc?

“Setting up a spreadsheet for all the tasks that needed to be done & keeping track of the budget.”

How many months/years in advance did you book your special day?

“About 6 months in advance.”

What was the hardest thing about planning your wedding day?

“Choosing the music for the ceremony ‚Äì what 3 tracks can sum up your past, present & future!? In the end we went for fun stuff that we love.”

What were the highlights of your day?

“I loved getting my hair done & having the girls get ready with me in the bridal changing area – it was such fun. The first glass of wine after the ceremony, I was so nervous! The speeches during dinner, the amazing cake my friend had made & the disco in the evening. It was just great to wander round and see groups of people doing whatever they wanted ‚Äì there was space to be away from the disco, kids playing or hanging out at the bar. Our magician who was amazing & a really memorable part of the day.”

Do you have any advice for Bride and Grooms that are just starting their wedding plans?

“Try and enjoy it! There are bound to be tears but it’s worth it in the end!”
