“Here is our Story”

Where did you get engaged and how long had you been together before hand?

“We got engaged in Cape Verde, we had been together 9 and 1/2 years before.”

How many venues did you visit before you chose Warwick House as your wedding venue?

“We went to loads of venues, we wanted to try and stay close to home but there wasn’t a very many that we liked everything about it, there was always something that just wasn’t quite right…there must have been about 20 venues!!!”

How did you feel when you first visited Warwick House, did you know straight away that you wanted to get married here?

“When we pulled up on the drive way for the March open evening we both got a good feeling and as soon as we walked inside we both knew that Warwick House was the venue for us. It just had such a nice character about the place.”

What was your first step of wedding planning? Venue search, dress shopping, choosing a date etc?

“We needed to choose the date first as I struggle with getting time off work, then it was the venue and then the dress.”

How many months/years in advance did you book your special day?

“We booked 14 months in advance, too long in my opinion because I just wanted it to be here but once it came , the day flew by!”

What was the hardest thing about planning your wedding day?

“Trying to match the colour up…we chose Royal Blue! So for flowers I went for bright gerberas and sunflowers as a contrast.”

What were the highlights of your day?

“The whole day was just amazing and I would love to do it all again!”

Do you have any advice for Bride and Grooms that are just starting their wedding plans?

“Have what you want, you don’t want to regret it later because you felt it was too expensive! Luckily we had everything we wanted but I know some people who didn’t and they have regretted it!”
