They were blessed with beautiful weather which meant they were able to have their ceremony outside under a our gazebo. They were then able to capture some stunning photos in our beautiful summer gardens.

Our story.

Where did you get engaged and how long had you been together before hand?

“We knew that we wanted to get married for a while but didn’t have the money for an engagement ring. We received a generous Christmas present (2011) and went shopping for a ring the following week. He then officially proposed on New Years Eve. We had been together for 3 years at that point but had known each other as friends for years.”

How many venues did you visit before you chose Warwick House as your wedding venue?

“I had visited 1 potential wedding venue with my best friend. Warwick House was the first venue we had both visited together and we both loved it instantly. We went on to look at some other venues but they didn’t compare to Warwick House.”

How did you feel when you first visited Warwick House, did you know straight away that you wanted to get married here?

“We loved it. The d√©cor is so clean, fresh and stylish. What appealed to us the most was that we could have the ceremony outside under the gazebo, I didn’t know anyone who had done that in the UK.”

What was your first step of wedding planning? Venue search, dress shopping, choosing a date etc?

“Our first step was searching for a venue and setting a date, we wanted to have the ceremony outside which meant picking a date in the summer months to try and ensure a warm sunny day. Then it was on to dress shopping which was the most fun part.”

How many months/years in advance did you book your special day?

“We booked Warwick House in March 2012 for 4th July 2013, so 14 months. It was a perfect amount of time.”

What was the hardest thing about planning your wedding day?

“Choosing my wedding dress was the hardest decision. There are just so many beautiful dresses, I looked around for a long time before I picked my dress. Ideally, I would have had 2 dresses, 1 for the day and 1 for the evening but Pete wouldn’t allow it.”

What were the highlights of your day?

“The whole day was amazing and the weather was perfect! Getting ready with my bridal party and putting on my dress. Walking back up the aisle as Husband and Wife. Our first dance and mingling with our family and friends all day.”

Do you have any advice for Bride and Grooms that are just starting their wedding plans?

“Brides – Always try on the dresses people recommend to you even if you think they will look horrible, they always look different once they are on.
Choose a brilliant photographer. The day goes so quick and when it is over the photos are all you have left. Our photographer (Tim Hill Photography) was amazing and I would thoroughly recommend him.”
